Welcome to Pepper's Restaurant and Bar, a hidden gem located at 240 Shadowline Dr, Boone, NC. Here, casual dining meets culinary excellence, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion. With a focus on exceptional service and expertly crafted dishes, Pepper's is sure to leave a lasting impression.
What stands out at Pepper's is their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Customers rave about their delightful experiences, emphasizing the attentive service. Take Melody Farnham's experience, for instance, where she praised the hard work of server Victoria, even during a busy rush. The buttermilk fried chicken she enjoyed was juicy and tender, a true testament to the kitchen’s skill. Similarly, the catfish basket has received accolades for its deliciousness.
The menu at Pepper’s features a thoughtful selection of dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. For those who appreciate a classic, Betty Barnes highlighted her experience with the French Onion Soup, which she described as the best she has ever had. The innovative touch of providing scissors to neatly cut through the gooey melted cheese not only enhances the dining experience but shows the restaurant’s attention to detail. Her French Dip sandwich came recommended, with a suggestion for a switch to authentic French bread to elevate it to perfection.
Virginia Fulmer shared her joy over the same soup and lauded the impeccable service from the friendly staff. She cherished the onion rings for their perfect balance—not overly battered, allowing the natural flavors of the onion to shine through. And, for those looking for a savory dip, Jonathan Laferriere couldn’t contain his excitement over the spinach artichoke dip, describing it as "ridiculously good."
Even pet owners feel welcome at Pepper's, as Dave Shearer's experience showed when his server provided a 'Puppers' menu for his dog, Ginger. It’s this level of hospitality that creates a strong sense of community and keeps customers returning for more.
Overall, Pepper's Restaurant and Bar excels with its variety of mouthwatering dishes, dedicated staff, and a welcoming environment. If you're in the Boone area and ready to indulge in unforgettable cuisine, Pepper's is definitely a place you won’t want to miss!
“ Shout out to Victoria! Even though they clearly were still recovering from a busy time, and Victoria was double-seated, she was working her butt off to get it all done! The buttermilk fried chicken was juicy and tender. And the catfish basket was delicious. Small, but distinguished selection of scotch! ”
“ First time customer. I ordered the French Onion Soup and a half French Dip with chips. The soup was the ABSOLUTE BEST I've ever had. I love that you provided small scissors to help cut the melted cheese, BRILLIANT idea. The french dip was good (would be better if you used french bread instead of hoagie roll ;-) Highly recommend. ”
“ French onion soup was chef’s kiss! They even included a little pair of scissors to tackle the cheese pull! Their service was excellent as the staff was so friendly and warm and went out of their way to greet us. Onion rings were my favorite kind. Not drenched in batter but rather the flaky crispy crumbly kind where the onion can shine thru! ”
“ Great service and food at a local tradition. Our server even brought us a “Puppers” menu for Ginger. She had the grilled chicken. ”
“ Oh my gosh!!!!!!! The spinach artichoke dip is so ridiculously good! The entrees were amazing as well! ”
“ Pepper's has been one of my favorite spots since I was a kid, and it’s clear why everyone loves it. The vibe is super welcoming, and the food is always amazing. If you’re in Boone, you’ve got to check it out! I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta, and wow—it was so good! Perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. They also had an awesome wine selection that paired great with my meal. The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. ”
“ I had never been to Boone before and was staying the night in town. While looking for restaurants with decent Google reviews, I found Pepper's. I had an excellent Italian sub here and the seasoned fries were also delicious. I thought the price was fair for what you received and the service was really good. Definitely check this place out if you are in the Boone area! ”
“ Great locals pub & grub establishment. I've enjoyed several previous visits. The staff is terrific. Very friendly and attentive. Bartender Sarah is particularly adept and delightful, and with a great sense of humor, too. The food is fresh and put together with great attention and care. They bake deserts and more in house that look beautiful. I was really tempted by the carrot cake cupcakes, but too full to eat one this trip. Do yourself a favor if nearby and hungry or thirsty. Lots of good choices here. ”
